Low humidity

It was a pretty relaxing day for me on the 264th of 2019.  While Alexa and Sarah got up early to volunteer at the PTA Mum Sale, I was able to sleep in.  In the afternoon of 9/21/19, we went to Mapleshade to play a Fall Ball Softball game in summer-like weather (today is one of the last days of summer and all....).  It was sunny and we were in the less protected dugout (from the sun at least).  The girls were really hot, but I did not notice myself being as hot as they were.  I realized that, for me, it truly is not hot temperatures that bother me as much as the humidity.  So tonight, I am grateful for low humidity and that I will sleep nicely tonight (because I did turn on the AC, it's gonna be close to 90 tomorrow!)  Goodnight!

Being a Father

6/16/2019 is Father's Day.  And I spent the 166th day of 2019 doing things with my family.  Church, clothes shopping (I did need new (and smaller, thank goodness) clothes), naps, Disney Movies on TV, a GREAT dinner (mmmm lasagna by Sarah), and then more catching up on TV with the family.  I am so blessed that, on 4/2/2002, I was made a father.  Being a father has pretty much defined me since that day.  I am so grateful for being a father, as well as being thankful for those who have advised me and taught me and have helped me become a better father.  This, of course, includes my fathers and grandfathers, who have been shining examples to me, but also for all of those other people in my life who have been models and mentors, my mom, other relatives, my wife, friends, etc.  So, to all who have been in my life in regard to my parenting, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!  (and thank you!)

More Numbers

Today, 11/24/19, is Day #328 of 2019.  As with most Sundays, after Church, I counted, with my counter colleagues, the offering that was collected.  So, on day 328, the Loose Offering was $27 and the total cash was $273.  I know it might sound geeky, but this is where my gratitude lies today.  I love that these are more numbers to make me happy.  And I am glad that a simple set of numbers can start my day off in a good manner.
