Dr. Kramer's Phillies Seats

We spent a lot of the 99th day of 2019 at ballgames.  First, after work on 4/9/19, Sarah and I rushed to the Collingswood High School Softball Games.  Although both teams lost (JV and Varsity), we cheered on Alexa and Anna and their teammates.  Then, we drove back over the river to see the Phillies (sadly lose to the Nats).  But before the late inning collapse by the Phillies, I was just sitting in our seats, surveying the amazing sunset,enjoying the game, the company, and the nice weather.  All of this was due to the kindness of Dr. Neil Kramer.  I am not sure for how many years he has been allowing me to buy some of his season tickets, but I am so glad that he does.  Some of my most amazing Phillies memories have occurred in Dr. Kramer's Phillies Seats and that is where my gratitude is existing tonight.

My caring prayer tonight is for the members of the Collingswood Softball Team.  It's not fun to struggle at the plate and I pray that they stay positive, keep working hard, and persevere!

The prayer tonight for someone with whom I disagree is for the young people at Citizen's Bank Park who seem to be intent to drink to excess instead of enjoying the game while imbibing responsibly.  I pray that they act more responsibility (or at least stay far away from me).

Being a Father

6/16/2019 is Father's Day.  And I spent the 166th day of 2019 doing things with my family.  Church, clothes shopping (I did need new (and smaller, thank goodness) clothes), naps, Disney Movies on TV, a GREAT dinner (mmmm lasagna by Sarah), and then more catching up on TV with the family.  I am so blessed that, on 4/2/2002, I was made a father.  Being a father has pretty much defined me since that day.  I am so grateful for being a father, as well as being thankful for those who have advised me and taught me and have helped me become a better father.  This, of course, includes my fathers and grandfathers, who have been shining examples to me, but also for all of those other people in my life who have been models and mentors, my mom, other relatives, my wife, friends, etc.  So, to all who have been in my life in regard to my parenting, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!  (and thank you!)

More Numbers

Today, 11/24/19, is Day #328 of 2019.  As with most Sundays, after Church, I counted, with my counter colleagues, the offering that was collected.  So, on day 328, the Loose Offering was $27 and the total cash was $273.  I know it might sound geeky, but this is where my gratitude lies today.  I love that these are more numbers to make me happy.  And I am glad that a simple set of numbers can start my day off in a good manner.
