Movie Nights

After work on the 78th day of 2019, I saw a Marvel Universe movie for the first time (!!!!)  3/19/19 was a work-outing to see Captain Marvel.  It was a fun movie and I am intrigued enough to watch some more, but maybe not ALL of them.  So my gratitude tonight is for Movie Night Outings, with friends and co-workers.  And I am looking forward to the next one.

My prayer of care tonight is for my co-workers who organized the movie night and inspired me to go out with them.  I had fun, and I likely would not have seen this movie without their encouragement.

And my prayer for someone with whom I disagree is for whomever created the dumb riddle that I answered on my friend's page and, thus, I lost and had to post on my page (not because I wanted to, but I am honorable).  I still think my answer is right.

Being a Father

6/16/2019 is Father's Day.  And I spent the 166th day of 2019 doing things with my family.  Church, clothes shopping (I did need new (and smaller, thank goodness) clothes), naps, Disney Movies on TV, a GREAT dinner (mmmm lasagna by Sarah), and then more catching up on TV with the family.  I am so blessed that, on 4/2/2002, I was made a father.  Being a father has pretty much defined me since that day.  I am so grateful for being a father, as well as being thankful for those who have advised me and taught me and have helped me become a better father.  This, of course, includes my fathers and grandfathers, who have been shining examples to me, but also for all of those other people in my life who have been models and mentors, my mom, other relatives, my wife, friends, etc.  So, to all who have been in my life in regard to my parenting, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!  (and thank you!)

More Numbers

Today, 11/24/19, is Day #328 of 2019.  As with most Sundays, after Church, I counted, with my counter colleagues, the offering that was collected.  So, on day 328, the Loose Offering was $27 and the total cash was $273.  I know it might sound geeky, but this is where my gratitude lies today.  I love that these are more numbers to make me happy.  And I am glad that a simple set of numbers can start my day off in a good manner.
