My Kids' Teachers

At the end of the 28th day of 2019, we sat in the Cafeteria of Collingswood HS and watched the induction ceremony for CHS' National Honor Society.  The Advisor for the NHS opened the ceremony by thanking the parents.  But all I could think about during the ceremony on 1/28/19, was how grateful I am for all of my children's teachers through the years. From the PreSchool rooms at St. Mark's to the halls of Oaklyn Public School (where Elementary School Teachers laid the foundation for their academic pursuits) to the teachers, coaches, and administration of Collingswood, I am thankful and feel blessed that my kids have had such wonderful teachers and role models (to continue yesterday's theme).  Education is the great equalizer and great teachers make a difference.  THANK YOU TEACHERS!

Being a Father

6/16/2019 is Father's Day.  And I spent the 166th day of 2019 doing things with my family.  Church, clothes shopping (I did need new (and smaller, thank goodness) clothes), naps, Disney Movies on TV, a GREAT dinner (mmmm lasagna by Sarah), and then more catching up on TV with the family.  I am so blessed that, on 4/2/2002, I was made a father.  Being a father has pretty much defined me since that day.  I am so grateful for being a father, as well as being thankful for those who have advised me and taught me and have helped me become a better father.  This, of course, includes my fathers and grandfathers, who have been shining examples to me, but also for all of those other people in my life who have been models and mentors, my mom, other relatives, my wife, friends, etc.  So, to all who have been in my life in regard to my parenting, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!  (and thank you!)

More Numbers

Today, 11/24/19, is Day #328 of 2019.  As with most Sundays, after Church, I counted, with my counter colleagues, the offering that was collected.  So, on day 328, the Loose Offering was $27 and the total cash was $273.  I know it might sound geeky, but this is where my gratitude lies today.  I love that these are more numbers to make me happy.  And I am glad that a simple set of numbers can start my day off in a good manner.
